from outrageous accusations. Although I don't think what I am dealing with is anywhere as bad as some other people, it's bad enough in my book. I really don't want to elaborate too much right now as it just happened yesterday and until I can talk with the sw and find out exactly what the procedures are that we need to follow, I really can't say any more. Please pray that this all blows over as it is a bunch of nonsense from a little girl who was mad she had to go to the afterschool program and not home with her Uncle S.
Luckily we have home visits with both the local sw from our county and the kids' sw from their home county today so they can see that these accusations are just that. FALSE ACCUSATIONS!
Hmmmm....and to think I want to adopt this little girl...why?????

We've made the decision that if we are ever the victim of serious false allegations, then we will immediately terminate the placement.
Our reasoning for this is as follows: if the allegations are true, then the child is not safe in our home. If the allegations are false, then we are not safe with the child.
Good luck. I'm sorry you are going through this right now.
Unfortunatly that is a big part of being a foster parent....in the 5 years I have been working with my agency I don't think I have ever seen a long-term foster family with zero investigations. 90% of the time they blow over very quickly and are nothing, I know its hard but try not to worry too much - it happens to everyone. I know its frustrating, but that's this flawed system for ya.
